I think people are seriously sleeping on Hunter Henry, the dude was an animal last year. I know numbers don't necessarily mean anything but it's definitely worth a look.
Through 15 games Hunter made a catch in all but two His eight TDs were tied for the most by a tight end on the season and were the ninth most in the entire NFL. Hunter had the most receiving yards out of any rookie TE at 435 with 32 receptions. Whenever he caught the ball, 83% of the time it was a first down (most out of all rookies and TE's) 3rd in yards per reception out of all TE From the opponents 49-20 yard line, he has 7 receptions, 103 yards, 7 first downs, and averages 14.7 yards per play. His receptions in the opposing team’s field position are all either first downs or touchdowns. Same goes with the 19-1 yard line. He has 8 receptions, 71 yards, averages 8.1 yards and has 8 first downs.
Moral of the story is this dude is a red zone beast and an overall great football player. And it's not as if these are cherry picked stats, anyone who watched him last year could tell you if he passes the eye test. I'm not sure why San Diego is under utilizing him so much but he's gotta be worth at least a stash spot. Then again I haven't watched the San Diego games so maybe there's something i'm missing here but the moral of story is Hunter Henry is good, and good players help win games. I have no idea what the San Diego Coaches are doing.
