Fantasy Owners of Cobb + Lacy Need to R-E-L-A-X
Post Body

Diehard Packers fan for the past 10 years here. I think a lot of people on this sub are panicking prematurely/jumping to conclusions without fully understanding the dynamic and reasoning as to why Cobb Lacy are struggling. I am 100% sure that Lacy and Cobb will be back to their elite statuses after the bye. Lacy has been hurt since early in the season with an ankle injury and Cobb has been dealing with a nagging shoulder injury. Thus, the scheme has been drawn up such that Lacy won't have to be relied on as heavily, and the coaching staff is electing to have Starks play more such that Lacy doesn't re-injure himself for more important games. As for Cobb, he's less than 100% and is drawing most of the coverage (no Jordy and Adams to help keep defenses honest), so he's struggling to get open. We are winning without them being elite (Cobb and Lacy), so why risk their health and force the ball to them? Don't twist this statement, though. We need Lacy and Cobb to be producing at an elite level in order for us to win come playoff time. All of the stuff on this sub about Lacy being fat is funny, but to be honest, the guy is powerful, elusive, deceptively fast, and just amazing to watch when healthy. Sure he looks heavy, but when healthy, he is a top 5 RB in the NFL. He looked the same last year and he tore it up after a rough start. The offense is struggling and we are only winning because of good defense/Rodgers' brilliance. This method of winning is not sustainable for us when opponents become more difficult AND the organization is being smart with managing Cobb Lacy injuries, so I expect we'll be elite offensively (along with Cobb and Lacy returning to tier 1 fantasy status) soon after the bye. Mark mah words everyone.
