And the bye weeks begin... Pats and Titans are out this week, lets see how things look
Keepers (highly owned):
Cardinals are at the top of the list this week, their numbers are pretty inflated from last weeks game and they seem a little TD dependent but they're facing the Rams who are a bottom 5 scoring team and I think they're likely to convert at least one turnover this week. Broncos play the Vikings this week, who gave up quite a few points week one but have been stingy since, that said I think they're easily one of the best defenses in the league, if not the best and should be started. The Panthers have been a little underwhelming the last two weeks so may be available, this week they're at Tampa Bay which is a sure start, but they're on bye next week so start thinking ahead for that. Seahawks at home vs the Lions is another such sure start, the Lions are struggling, the problem is you likely don't own the Seahawks. Jets are another fine start if you have em, against the Dolphins who are another team that's been a disappointment, be aware that they're also on bye next week.
Streamers (under 70% owned):
Eagles are coming of a strong showing vs the Jets of 4 turnovers and a TD, they're up against the Redskins who have been giving up a couple extra points on average to DSTs, strong streaming option. Packers are another decent looking option, 49ers (Kaep in particularly) really looked bad last week against the Cards, I wouldn't expect 2 pick 6s right out of the gates again but I think they're a solid choice if you're needy. Browns are boom or bust and widely available because of it, the Chargers have been fairly turnover prone as well so this is not a bad option.
Deceivers (charts misleading or bad matchup):
Vikings I wouldn't want to start this week in Denver despite what the chart is showing, Broncos offense has ramped up a bit since the beginning of the season. Bills I expect to do better than the charts are showing, the Giants haven't been challenged very hard yet. Texans dst is still overrated, wouldn't tough them, especially against a fired up Falcons offense.
Keepers (highly owned):
Hauschka is the 2nd highest owned kicker after Gostkowski and in his absence is also the best start this week. Bailey I'm kind of on the fence about with Romo out but they still seemed to make things happen last week and the Saints D isn't anything to write home about. Tucker and McManus may be slightly lower on this weeks chart but check out the consistent green RoS, set them and forget them. Crosby I wouldn't worry about, looks worse because the 49ers haven't been stopping anyone in the RZ.
Streamers (under 70% owned): Brown is only 44% owned? Fix that, get him wherever you can, he's my kicker I'm going to overhype this year, my Catanzaro if you will. I like Janikowski this week vs the Bears, their offense is looking better and well its the Bears. Carpenter I recommend if Watkins and to a lesser extent McCoy are back, the Bills have looked good.
Deceivers (charts misleading or bad matchup):
Gould didn't get any chances last week with Cutler out and although the Raiders are a soft matchup I'm not sure I'd trust him unless Cutler is back. Scobee I just don't trust that much with Pittsburgh going for 2pts so often, it just reduces his consistency, and with Ben out now it's likely worse. Zuerlein I'm hesitant to recommend against the Cards this week, they could get shut down a lot in the RZ and kick a few FGs or they could just get shut down.
To be continued... QB RB WR TE
Sorry didn't have time to finish QBs before work, will at lunch, feel free to ask questions about any position though and I'll give my two cents. Cheers.
