[RMT] 10man, 1PPR, QB/RB/RB/WR/WR/Flex/TE/K/DEF (Pick #5 out of 10)
My thought process behind the picks (I was focusing on good PPR players with upside and who's byes did not overlap too much):
1) I thought about Rice or McCoy here, but I've really liked what I'm seeing in predictions and schedule for Spiller. I had to go for it. Was hoping to get some good RBs behind him just in case.
2) SJax was here and (confession) I am a Falcon's fan, so I thought it would be great to give him a go here so I can root for my team and for my player (I know it's not a great strategy, but he was good value here)
3) Sproles in the 3rd round! I'm taking him!
4) I needed to start loading up on something besides RBs and since Gronk just went off the board, I went TE. I was very surprised he was available here as he should be a PPR monster.
5) Some may say I reached on Colston, but this guy is a legit WR1 (in my opinion. Excited about getting him here)
6) I didn't want to go QB yet and the RBs available weren't as good value as some of the WRs, so I picked up Bowe here for either starting or trade bait.
7) I thought Brown was the best available, so I grabbed him (I felt I was starting to take on too many WRs here, but they all had different byes)
8) Wanted to grab my QB here in case someone reached for a double QB. I was targeting Kap around this pick the whole draft, so I'm glad I got him.
9) In retrospect, I probably reached on this pick, but to be honest, I was just looking for the comfort of having my TE slot done. Plus, in PPR, I think Cook is going to have a decent year. A little weak here, but maybe I can pull off a trade mid-season.
10) Not 100% on Kap, so I wanted to hedge my pick. Very happy with this tandem.
11) Man, this guy is solid gold. Three years in a row with over 1,000 yards and he drops down to round 11? I was going to snatch him up here no matter what. Now I'll definitely be looking to ship off a WR for an upgrade somewhere.
12) This is somewhat of an hopeful pick. I didn't want to draft a kicker (I know, I know. It's illegal in some leagues. If I was going to draft a kicker, I would have skipped this pick here and pushed all my picks up one). As it stands, I'll either drop him (or package him with a WR in a upgrade) before the season starts.
13) Jesus, I know I'm loading up on WR here, but there was some major PPR WR talent just dropping far too low on the boards.
14) Purely looking to hedge my bet with SJax here. Jaquizz could be an interesting flex if I need him, or if SJax goes down, a legitimate PPR starter.
15) Baltimore has a good defense this year, but with only 10 men, I didn't really care who I grabbed here as I plan on playing the waiver wire.
Anyway, that's my draft. I think I have a pretty solid PPR team here, but always open to suggestions or possible trades before the season starts.
Thanks!
