I think from a human level, its nice to see people concerned for Olave's health and that he is not being treated like a disposable player in the eyes of fans.
However just a small devil's advocate point as to why I strongly believe he will return to play this year.
Chris Olave signed a 4 year rookie contract with the New Orleans Saints worth $19,271,872 fully guaranteed including a $11,195,908 signing bonus.
How many opportunities in your life will you have to make hundreds of thousands of dollars, let alone millions?
Front loaded Signing bonus, dude might still need them game checks each week to sustain his life/future. Again while we all care for the dude and his long term health, it would not shock me to see a player using every possible chance to set himself and his family up for life monetary wise.
Thoughts?
