-I took the biggest L on Mike Evans last season, saying that he would not finish as a Top 30 WR in 2023.
-Evans slapped me in the face then proceeded to finish as the WR7 overall, averaging 16.6 fantasy points per game.
-He has now finished with at least 1000 yards receiving in 9 straight seasons and should be a shoe in for the hall of fame one day.
-But where are we drafting him in 2024?
-Evans continued to showcase his ability as one of the best deep threats in the NFL, finishing 1st in the NFL in air yards and 1st in the NFL in Deep Targets.
-His 24.5% target share and 135 total targets led the Buccaneers and there’s no reason to think that will change anytime soon.
-If there’s one thing that worries me about the value of Evans in 2024, it’s the chance that Baker Mayfield regresses from the high level he played at last season.
-Death, Taxes, and Mike Evans finishing with over 1000 yards are the 3 for sure things in this world. I don’t know if Evans will finish as a Top 10 WR once again next season, but I love drafting him as a strong WR2 in 2024.
