General look of this day:

Daytime is just touristy, slow and relaxing, football maybe. Late afternoon and evening is Zombie Bike Ride time. The week's first important event.

Attendees:

Weekend only crowd gets thinner. Key West locals are the real players today and with some early Fantasy Festers showing up. Especially the ones staying for the whole week.

Events to mention:

Zombie Bike Ride: This is the only event to mention and participation wise, it is huge. Thousands of bikes will pass by many streets of Key West at/after 6PM in zombie outfits. When the ride is over, the night will turn into zombie party.

Nudity level:

None on the streets during daytime. None during the bike ride. The ride will have kid participants! After the ride is over, when the night kicks in, sexy zombies will come up with occasional nudity.

Costumes:

Almost everybody wear zombie, gore, creepy costumes. Some still manage to make it look sexy! We will see more body paints, amateur or pro.

Bars/Places:

If you are riding with the group, 2PM-6PM Bike ride starting area, near airport entrance is the place to go. And after the ride, finish line party at the Coffee Butler Amphitheater. Both start and finish areas are far from main bars and restaurants.

In the past, the gathering/after party point for Zombies were Greene St. in front of Tiki House with live DJ on the balcony blasting music. But now in 2024, Tiki House is moved to Duval street, not sure what will happen to street after party. I would still check Greene street area. Besides that, whichever bar you go, you will see zombies all around.

Traffic:

Around 6 PM and during the bike ride, the bike route will be closed to traffic with police presence. After the ride is over everything will back to normal and open to car traffic. Previous years the after party was getting crowded at Greene st. and at some point the street got closed to cars but this year can be different.
