NXT Takeover: Houston (January 2020): Adam Cole(c) vs Matt Riddle, NXT Championship match

Promo package:

We see Adam Cole retaining the NXT Championship against Ciampa at Takeover WarGames 3 while Matt Riddle and then calling himself "the Greatest Sports Entertainer of All Time" before Matt Riddle comes down to the ring and tells Adam to "calm down a bit, Bro", then Adam says that he ain't his bro unless he's part of UE which he ain't. Then Matt says that he wants another shot at the NXT Championship, Cole answers that he will give Matt a title match since he knows he can beat him we see Cole retaining against Riddle on NXT TV and he ain't afraid of him.

After this, we see how Riddle (after beating Jordan Myles) is celebrating a victory when we see on the titantron how Adam Cole is on Matt Riddle's hometown with the NXT Title around his waist and then arrives to Matt's house, touches the door and is recieved by one of Matt's daughters who simply tells him that Matt is working. Then Adam looks at her and tells her if she recognizes him, the daughter says that she knows him and then closes the door on his face which draws a laughter from the crowd and an smile of Matt, however an incredibly pissed off Matt knocks on the door again which makes Matt's daughter open it again and ask now annoyed "what do you want now?" to Cole who (before thinking) hits her with the NXT Title on the face. Then Cole realizes what he did and tells Roderick to turn off the camera while the crowd and Matt are silent, shocked and worried.

The next week we see Adam come to the ring and apologize for what happened last week and that he never wanted to do that and when he realized what happened it was too late. Then we see, Riddle on the ramp who comes running to the ring and starts ground and punding on Cole before UE come to the ring and save Cole from getting his arm being ripped apart. Meanwhile Matt Riddle is shouting on the outside: "your ass is mine Cole!"

Finally we see Matt stroming onto Regal's office, demanding that the NXT Title match becomes a No Holds Barred match, Regal refusing because if he did that, Matt would surely try to cripple Cole, Matt grabbing Regal by the throat and then chokeslamming him on the desk of the room before leaving.

The match was 25 minutes long and the story told was how Cole deseperately tried to DQ himself because he didn't want to face Matt who'd try to destroy him and whenever Matt grabbed a hold of Adam, it looked like Adam would lose a limb of his body because of how aggresive Matt was. The finish of the match saw Adam managing to roll to the outside while Matt was pursuing him and then Regal attacking Matt which gave the DQ win to Matt but allowed Cole to retain the NXT Title. After the match we saw how Riddle and Regal were brawling while Cole was celebratimg his win and then Finn Balor appeared on stage and stared down Cole who simply lifted the NXT Title while doing the "Adam Cole BAY BAY" taunt and lifting the NXT Title. On the post match interviews we see Adam (who is looking towards the zone connecting the backstage and the ramp) simply saying that "Finn Balor will be another person to fall to me" and then running while we hear Matt saying (on the background) "WHERE ARE YOU ADAM????". Meanwhile Riddle says that after he deals with Regal for getting in his way, Adam would pay for what he did and continued to run around backstage.

NXT Takeover: Florida (April 2020):

NXT Championship match: Adam Cole(c) vs Finn Balor

Promo Package: The package starts by showing Adam (after retaining the NXT Title) being face-to-face with Finn Balor and show clips of Balor in NXT. Then we see how Cole says that maybe Balor was the longest reigning NXT Champion in history but that he had never face someone like him in his NXT Title reign which had it been so historic like it's said it is, then it should have ended on an Takeover or an NXT weekly show instead of a live event we see a clip of Joe beating Balor to become NXT Champion. Then Finn says that considering both him and Cole were in The OC at different times shouldn't they respect each other, Cole answers that why would he respect The OC when he got superkicked out of there while Balor was the one who started it all!. Then we see UE assaulting Finn Balor and Cole saying "BANG" and connecting the Last Shot.

Afterwards, we see Balor coming to the ring and apologizing for whatever happened to Cole when he got kicked out and offering him a place on the OC, Adam then answers that thanks for the offer but he'll decline it not because it doesn't interest him but because if he accepted, the leader of the stable would be Finn and not him despite helding the NXT Title which wasn't something rightful for the Greatest Sports Entertainer of All Time and that he was thinking about him getting kicked out of the OC was actually something good for him since it started his path to being on NXT as their NXT Champion. Then Cole tells Balor to thank "you know who" (Young Bucks and Marty Scurll) for superkicking him out of the stable since he now is the NXT Champion and the leader of the most succesful faction in NXT.

The package ends with Adam shaking Finn's hand

The match was 29 minutes long and the story told was how Finn and Cole were both doing OC things through the match and Adam told the rest of the UE to stay at the back since he didn't want interferences to happen. By OC things i mean do finger gun taunts, too sweets and above all this was a showing of Finn's reknown flying skills vs Adam and his striking style. The finish of the match saw Balor try to connect the Coup De Grace only for Adam to dodge take down Balor with an low kick (to the down section of Balor's legs), connect the Panama Sunrise and then pin Finn to get the 3 count and the clean victory. After the match we see how UE are watching Cole and Balor do a too sweet and afterwards they assault Cole and Balor. On the post-match interviews we see how Strong, O'Rilley and Fish talk about how they attacked Adam because they were sure he'd join The OC sooner rather than later and they wouldn't let Adam be succesful while they rot and die by themselves when they lose their respective titles and Balor because of convicing Adam to join The OC. Meanwhile Balor was carrying Cole backstage and when the interviewer came, Adam simply said "You 3 bastards, you were succesful with me and this is how you pay me???. You'll pay and here Balor and Cole speak at the same time THAT'S THE ONLY THING THAT MATTERS!!!!".

NXT Takeover: Traitor (Pre-Summerslam 2020 Takeover): Adam Cole(NXT Champion) vs Roderick Strong (NXT Northamerican Champion), winner takes all

Promo package: It startd by showing UE assaulting Cole and Balor and Roderick saying that he and his buddies won't allow Cole to succeed while they rot and die after they lose their belts and Cole answrring that Roderick, Fish and Kyle would pay for what they did and that was the only thing that mattered.

Afterwards we see Cole entering the ring and saying that Roderick and the rest would pay because they attacked him after all he did for them we see Roderick and KOR and Bobby winning their titles thanks to Adam Cole's interferences, Roderick answering that they didn't always needed to rely on him to retain we see Roderick sacrificing himself so UE retain against Street Profits and Adam then telling Roderick if he wanted to put that to test which Roderick accepted.

We see then how Regal declares that at NXT Takeover: Traitor, Adam Cole and Roderick Strong would face off in a winner takes all for the NXT and NXT Northamerican Championships and Roderick and Cole staring down each other.

The package ends with Cole and Strong lifting their respective titles

The match was 34 minutes long and the story told was how Bobby and KOR tried to help Roderick win to prove Adam how he was wrong on the point that UE needed him to win, even though sometimes Balor was able to stop them from interfering. Meanwhile on the inside, Adam and Strong were brawling all over the place while avoiding to DQ themselves or get counted out. Also we saw how Roderick targeted Adam's legs because he knew that Cole needed them to do all his finishers. The finish of the match saw Cole trying to do an Panama Sunrise but his legs making him fall face-first to the mat and then Roderick took advantage, hit the End of Heartache and pinned Cole to win the NXT Championship while keeping the Northamerican Title cleanly. The post match interviews saw how Cole said that the only important thing now was to recover the NXT Title and Balor them said that what Cole said was right since it was evident Bobby and KOR would put themselves in the way and that would allow them to take vengeance on Roderick's buddies before Cole got his rematch and won the NXT Title back. Meanwhile Roderick, with his two belts, said simply "hey everyone, who sucks now?" and then left the scene.
