We play 6x6. Its regular 5x5 scoring, but with holds and OPS. I came in 4th last year.
So let me put my team first and foremost:
C - Buster Posey
1B - Prince Fielder
2B - Roughned Odor
3B - Miguel Sano
SS - Corey Seager
RF - Giancarlo Stanton
CF - Joc Pederson
LF - Kyle Schwarber
UTL - AJ Pollock
UTL - Matt Kemp
BENCH - Matt Holliday
BENCH - Ryan Zimmerman
BENCH - Alcides Escobar
BENCH - Devon Travis
SP - Jose Fernandez
SP - Gerrit Cole
RP - Wade Davis
RP - Mark Melancon
RP - Carson Smith
P - Patrick Corbin
P - Edinson Volquez
P - Nathan Karns
BENCH - Luis Severino
BENCH - Aaron Nola
BENCH - Ervin Santana
BENCH - Chris Tillman
So a few things to know: we have 6 keepers, don't lose drat picks from who we take and I have a pair of 1st round picks, no 2nd round pick and two 3rd round picks. The pair of 1st rounders gives me a bit of leverage on keepers so my thought is the following 2 keeper set ups.
Keeper set 1:
Giancarlo Stanton
AJ Pollock
Buster Posey
Wade Davis
Jose Fernandez
Gerrit Cole
This one seems most balanced. Gives me a pair of legit starting pitchers and if I want to unload JFer due to injury concerns I can probably get a top tier 2B or SS if need be. Thats my thinking mostly.
Keeper set 2:
Giancarlo Stanton
AJ Pollock
Kyle Schwarber (probably wont have C which hurts me)
Corey Seager
Jose Fernandez
Gerrit Cole
This one gives me a pair of high risers with Seager and Schwarber. Im higher on Schwarber, but still Seager looked good and its said he is the starter, no rotation.
So what do you think? Set 1, 2 or make a 3rd one? Thanks ahead of time and its just nice to finally have fantasy baseball back.
