Massachusetts resident and we just got sports wagering legalized on Friday. I've spent the weekend dicking around - mostly between DK and FD as I've already accounts with both.

While I prefer DK for my DFS play, when it comes to the wagering apps I find FDs to be far superior. It's cleaner, easier to navigate, and far less laggy. The one big exception is location verification.

It just doesn't work.

Every time I log in I end up with the little red banner at the top that says "location restricted" and a popup that says failed to verify location. Ok, I shouldn't say every time - I just tried to place a bet and it succeeded - on the sixteenth attempt! Since I started, this is the norm. Only once in every 15-20 log-ins will the verification succeed*.

I've tried all of the basic troubleshooting. My app is up to date. Location is set to "precise". Strong wi-fi connection, no VPNs in use. I'm about 30 miles from the nearest state line, so it shouldn't be that (and NH is FanDuel legal anyway).

Sometimes I'll try over and over again, finally get a verification, but between the time I select a bet and try and to place the wager the dreaded red ribbon will come up, so sometimes it's not even maintaining a verification on the rare occasions I get one. I don't have this issue with DK (or BetMGM or Wynn) but FD is almost unusable - especially if I wanted to engage in live event wagering.

I assume this is a "me" issue, but has anyone else had similar issues and come up with an effective troubleshoot?

The one exception is if I completely uninstall, re-download, and newly install the app. It works first time, every time in that circumstance...but *only the first time.
