I was basically raised by my mom, who was always waiting for my father's return, which never happened. During that wait, the children didn't get to participate in sports or school activities because there was no guidance, no one to take us out of the house—my mom was just focused on her ex-husband.
I say this because now, after decades, I've convinced myself that I didn't have the same opportunities as others.
Parents: encourage your children, help them with their interests—sports, arts, music—there's always something. Support them in any way you can and motivate them. When they grow up, they will succeed, and that doesn't necessarily mean becoming millionaires.
