I(m50) just got chewed out by my nephew(m42) because I won't co-sign his loan for graduate school. I currently am working on my B.A.S. and that's only because my job pays for it.
First, I don't co-sign loans ever. Second, this person has asked to borrow money in the past and, in fact, still owes money (which I decided it was a gift when he threw a tantrum that I asked about it).
Because I said no, now the who family is broken or horrible and all this negative talk. He went on to rant about others helping me (no one has ever co-signed) and when I was in high school, I needed help (again, he's 42).
This took me by surprise. Well, one less person to deal with in 2024. Happy New Year!
