I (32M) live in the same town as my immediate family. I have not enjoyed spending time with family since leaving for college at 18. My family and I don’t have much in common. There’s nothing wrong with my family and I believe I have a fairly average family. It was a high anxiety household growing up and I wasn’t raised the best, but it could have been worse. There’s a fair amount of strain and tension between everybody. It makes my wife sad that I don’t like to see or spend time with family. When we’re all together (like around the holidays), I’m just very reserved and don’t seem to have the energy to rekindle these relationships. Is this a problem?
