Not feeling bad being in non-speaking terms with sister
Post Body

Hi, i (f42) had an intense verbal fight with my sister (f45) 1 month ago and since then we are in non-speaking terms. I absolutely don't feel bad about it and i don't want to have a discussion or try to overcome the situation. I actually really don't give a F... I am tired of that obligation to keep her in my life because she's family. TBH in another situation, i would not even be her friend. Plus there's some animosity kept since childhood i assume...

I am extremely angry when my partner tries to push me to reconnect "because she's your sister". Why should i HAVE to pretend to appreciate her company?! This "have to" drives me crazy. Why people just don't accept that siblings can have separate lives and just be fine seeing each other at family events for example...?

I don't hate her, i just don't want nor need her closely to me, she doesn't bring me any oxytocin or deep love feelings. Am i a monster or totally wrong here...?

Thanks for reading 🖤
