There seems to be a trend each decade or so thatâs been going on long before TikTok:
In the 90âs people thought it was cool to pretend to be bipolar because of Kurt Cobain and continued to do so until folks like Kanye West came along.
In the early 2000âs it was ADHD, until the diagnosis became so unbelievably common that it wasnât âcoolâ anymore.
In the early to late 2010âs it was Aspergerâs specifically, which is now a defunct diagnosis for obvious reasons, yet it was still seen as the âsmart but socially awkwardâ disease.â Letâs not forget personality disorders like BPD and ASPD because PDs really were were romanticized to oblivion back then.
Now itâs moderate-to-high support needs autism and of course, DID. Pretty self-explanatory.
Which disorder do you guys think will be the next to be faked in the late 2020âs-2030âs?
This makes me so frustrated as I deal with gastroparesis on a daily basis. Yeah guys itâs sooo cool and poppin that the stomach nerves are too paralyzed to digest anything properly and the abdominal pain is so chic ~~ đ Not a glamorous condition at all
