This is a theory that I thought about for a while. A lot of people think chip could be Timmy’s real father but I thought of much deeper theory that might actually be possible. Chip and Timmy do look a lot alike but I think that chip might actually be Timmy from the future. The only things that could debunk this theory is hair color and chip’s teeth. Before you debunk this please think about this real good. Hair gets darker as it grows and ages so Timmy at 17 could have dark hair or just as easy he could have dyed it. So that explains why it’s dark. Timmy’s teeth are the only real thing that stops the theory but then again Timmy is ten and they are baby teeth. And no I don’t count the episode where the tooth fairy breaks up with Jorgen as an official cannon episode as Timmy and the other characters never age until the live action movies with Drake Bell. Timmy’s teeth don’t grow back as buck teeth. They grow back normal explaining why the tooth fairy was so fascinated with them and why she liked chips teeth so much. In fact this could also explain why Chip has such a fascination with his own teeth it could all be tied to the tooth fairy because chip skylark met the tooth fairy when he was younger his fascination with teeth was inspired by her. Timmy met the tooth fairy when he was 10 in numerous episodes so it’s completely possible that Timmy could be chip from the past and Chip Skylark is just a stage name that Timmy picked out when he started his singing career. The first time that we meet chip is in boys in the band. When chips concert was supposedly on Timmy’s birthday. How convenient. Chips birthday is on the exact same day as Timmy’s. And yes I know by the end of the episode they say that his birthday is the day after the concert but as neglectful as his parents are in the show you would kind of think that they would at least know when their son’s birthday is but no. They are so neglectful that Timmy’s dad had to ask his own son how old he was when his dreams were shattered. Not only is that cold but that is dark. I wonder who else had a problem the day of the concert (chip to timmy: today’s my birthday too. Yeah but they scheduled my concert on my birthday so I haven’t even had a chance to celebrate it) chip didn’t get to celebrate his own birthday. Neither did Timmy. The exact same story from both characters. Clothing is another thing. Timmy could have eventually grown out of the pink shirt and hat and just picked another style. So clothing checks out. In fact Timmy’s last wish upon turning 13 could have been to be a famous singer. The only question that leaves this theory in the air is why Chip AKA Timmy from the future in Dimmsdale with his younger self in this timeline? That’s the mystery. Timmy could be trying to protect himself from not existing so he gives his younger self the idea to be a singer which seems to be working considering that every time we see Timmy sing he’s good and doesn’t have stage fright or anything. Timmy doesn’t know the he’s Chip. Timmy doesn’t know who he really is. Chip doesn’t talk about having fairies because he probably forgot about cosmo and Wanda by the time he turned 17 but only remembers that he had fairies because of his happy childhood but they haven’t forgotten him because they loved him so much. They listen to his music because he was their favorite godchild as we see early in Boys in the band. The perspective we see is Chips point of view of when he was younger. Chip and Timmy share the same hatred of Vicky and deal with the same problems in different ways. Another thing that ties the theory together is that Vicky has a crush on Timmy when he’s older in many episodes and chip in one episode until Timmy tells Vicky he’s not rich. Timmy is trying to get payback and eventually he does when he sings his song about her. We don’t get much more backstory about chip. This could explain so much though. How did chip get a time machine to go back to Dimmsdale 7 years ago? Chip had a time machine he wished for when he was a kid and he used it to go back in time to see himself grow up and he didn’t want to leave because he missed being a kid and he stayed in this timeline for a while. The reason why we never see him again after a few more episodes is because he knew he had to go back to his own time so he goes back to the time machine and goes back to his own life. This could also lead to the Danny phantom theory because of the appearances of him and the other characters. But that’s a theory for the next post.
