Hello. I just downloaded Factorio last week and am about 40 hours into my first save at the moment. I recently decided to start up roboports after being intimidated by them for a bit.

I love these things, they are fairly intuitive and I spent all night last night just playing with passive chests and connections to the network etc.

So far I have been stringing together my roboports and I have one huge logistics network. My question is, what are the pros and cons of having one huge network and having multiple smaller networks.

So far the biggest con I've found with my big network is large travel distances for my robots from storage. But if I had smaller networks I would have to keep items in storage for all networks which seems more inconvenient
