Sounds in iOS apps when someone reads a message

Hi there. When someone reads a message I sent via messenger for iOS the app on my phone makes a sound. Not sure what the sound it called but it’s a little like a water drop or bubble burst. I’ve turn off sounds in my notifications but that has not solved the problem. It also makes the sound on my phone when I send a message via iPad. As soon as the receiver reads it, the sounds goes. Any way to stop that?
