Wanted to see what were some reasons anyone here had their F1 visa denied. My cousin just received her I-20 and will be setting up the appointment with the embassy soon. What kind of questions would he asked and what are some red flags ?? She hired an agent in India who is doing the paperwork for her. The only thing I found fishy is that because her parents did not have enough funds to cover the expenses, an agent that they hired in India is going to transfer funds to show enough funds. That’s how they got the university admission as well. Will the consulate question where the funds came from? She’s 28 and got admitted for masters program. Her undergrad grades weren’t that good (56%) overall and her admission is conditional based on passing two English and exams and a preparatory semester. Please advise
