Wireless Carplay adapter/dongle for 2017

Looking for recommendations. I am in LOVE with Apple Carplay, but I find myself forgetting my phone in the truck alot when I have it plugged in.
I am seeing a few different products online. Some are marketed for specific makes (e.g, Audi, Volvo, Honda) but it seems people are suggesting they may work on any factory headunit that has carplay.
Anyone have any experiecne with this?
