Hey guys, I was just wanting some fresh opinions on the topic. I’ve finally got a budget I can work with to get a decent leveling kit, but I just can not decide, no matter how much research I’ve done, choose what to pull the trigger on. My budget is $1850, but that needs to INCLUDE install labor (i do have firestones lifetime alignment, so I won’t have to pay for that part, just install), and I won’t actually be going off road besides the dirt road on the way to my sons daycare (for the most part) Here’s what I’m considering and some quick reason why
Ford performance fox 2.0 leveling kit-($1332 plus labor). Will be fox quality, ford has a 20% off coupon right now. Will have fronts and rears. Biggest con of these is they will have to be rebuilt every 40k-50k miles.
Rough Country Vertex coilovers with v2 rears ($1675 plus labor). No rebuild on these (good for me), will probably be the best quality ride (being firm 2.5s but also adjustable dampening). Cons being a bit more expensive, I’ll need to put the rears on myself to make budget work, or maybe just wait all together on rears to make it not so close. Also just being RC is a con lol. I really do feel like these would ride awesome though.
Last option I’m really considering is rough country M1 struts with v2 rears. A big advantage of this one is I’d be able to afford the upgraded UCAs this time around. Cons are obviously still RC, and a tier down from the vertex (but still not their cheapest). Really affordable too, and considering I don’t need actual hardcore off road performance, I’d probably be perfectly happy with the upgrade over stock.
What do y’all think? And thank you!
