I have a 2012 F150 5.0 with just shy of 130,000 miles on it. Check engine light came on. Cylinder 6 misfire. I changed the spark plugs and ignition coils, no change. Took it to the shop. Low compression in cylinders 5, 6 and 8. Shop is suggesting a head job ($3-5k) could take several weeks. No guarantee how long it would last because of a known soft metal in the valve area with these years. Or just getting a new engine from Jasper, 3yr 100,000 mile warranty.
