25 F, can a contact be bad? Instant pain and redness

Today I put in my dailies contacts and on one side it was instant pain, my eye got all red, I was blinking like crazy and my eye got so dry taking it out was nearly impossible… when I did I cleaned it and put it in again, same thing…

I tried a new one and it was better but now my eye vessels are red and my eye is super uncomfortable! I need to wear them as I have a performance tomorrow and I don’t know what to do!!! Any advice??? What even caused this??? It was better with a new one, could there have been something wrong with the first one??
