Heated Lash Curler and Number of Times to Wash Daily

My salon sells a heated lash curler, I didn’t buy one because I didn’t think I needed it but I wanted to get other people’s opinions. I know it’s bad to use a mechanical one but is it necessary to curl them at all?
Also, my salon suggests washing 2x a day but I’ve seen people say only once a day. What are your thoughts?
