If were supposed to disregard stereotypes about women by and large, why do so many gender roles/stereotypes apply when it comes to dating?
Post Body

So, disclaimer, I'm not exredpill in the traditional sense, but when I was feeling like shit about myself it was very easy to slip into hateful or redpill-esque rhetoric regarding other women. Of course, I was the problem and in the wrong, and the redpill is a crock of shit.

However, one question has lingered in my mind and is one I can't seem to wrap my head around logically. Women aren't a monolith, and I know better than to stereotype them, but it seems that by and large women prefer to be submissive in bed and in their relationships? Like, for every dominant woman out there a bunch of others are submissive and enjoy it. Even left-leaning or progressive types seem to largely be attracted to dominant men and prefer submissive roles in bed. I find it hard to believe that this could actually be the case, I guess, because it feels like it flies in the face of every progressive thing I've learned about women. I'm not trying to start a war, I'm genuinely trying to understand here and I apologize if I'm coming off as misogynistic or otherwise.

TL;DR, if dominant man submissive woman is a stereotype that I'm not supposed to endorse or believe, then why do so many women - even left-leaning or progressive women - fall into this category and enjoy it?
