ELI5: What are good ways to understand Newton's third law of motion?

So I understand what the 3rd law means, equal and opposite reactions for actions. I also can sense this 'phenomena' such as when you kick something, or even when you're just standing. Now the issue is that I'm trying to wrap my head around the fact that since this is true, then how is motion in our universe possible?
