Is it just my brain being 'lazy'? my brain wants to devote less energy to thinking about doing something and makes a shortcut in the neurons (or wherever a shortcut would be made) or do my actual muscles 'remember'? If it's the brain shortcuts, how does it know when to apply the shortcut? A halfway decent example: I used to wrestle. In wrestling when somebody would take a shot in on me I'd sprawl away so they couldn't get my legs. If I'm not actively thinking about sprawling how does my brain know to do so?
