Post Body

I keep seeing lots of different ranks like Warrant Officer, or Major, but I don't really understand how an army operates. Whenever I try to look things up it keeps coming back to Commissioned or Non-Commisioned Officer.

So an analogy would be that officers are like the architects for a building, while the NCOs are the site foremen and team leaders?
