I don't like how Islam is structured in way that leaves no room for someone who doesn't have an extreme view on the religion. There are either people who literally believe that angels and jinn control everything and there those who believe that Muhammad and his state was the worst thing to happen to humanity.
This leaves no space for someone who doesn't believe in God. Doesn't believe in any supernatural bullshit which is basically God by another name (like 'good energy', universal consciousness, spiritualism etc) and at the same time has somewhat favourable view on the actual historical state which eventually evolved into Islam.
A much better model is Christian society where there is no red line which separates atheists from the religious oriented individuals. There people who call themselves 'culturally Christian'.
For example I believe (I may be wrong) that Islam was massive force for positive change 1400 years ago. It became useless 1000/800 years ago and has been a force against positive social change for atleast the last 500 years.
Does anyone else feel the need to choose between either loving or hating Islam keeps them from getting to the actual truth?
