I had the privilege of growing up in USA in a family that was still Muslim but very progressive and not harsh with religion. But the Muslim dawah boys would see online pissedme off.

When I was 18 a 30 year old weird ass salafi dude was obsessed with me and would tell me that I would go to hell if I didn’t marry him. Whenever I would block him he would text me from a new number. He had a large following on insta and was always posting shit about how women shouldn’t go to school and that no guy would want to marry an educated women. He would post about child marriage and say that there’s no such thing as marital rape in Islam. Honestly I get disgusted whenever I think of him and other Muslim men like him who have those long beards and promote these ideas.

Like why tf would I wanna marry someone like that and be their sex slave basically?
