I am very glad that you folks got out of this disturbing religion. To me, most religions seem crazy, but islam always takes the cake when I make serious comparisons. The killing, the hatred, the systematic oppression of women, the pressures women face, and the absolute control they endure just shocks me. I think that Muslim women generally have no choice but to accept it, and it’s easy to be devout because the religious training takes place from the day of birth so nobody ever gets even a taste of freedom before being swept in to the faith. Here are a few questions:
Is there any kindness in islam? Compassion, giving, being selfless, or helping others? Do they do charitable things? Are Muslims generally decent people, or does the religion discourage humanity?
Do people actually read the quaran, or do they just hear what other people say about it and pretend?
What are some of the other holy texts?
Ladies, how do you express sexuality in adolescence when puberty is hitting you hard? Are you supposed to fight things like sexual fantasies?
Is masturbation actively discouraged, or do people just not talk about it?
Why can’t you draw pictures of Mohammed? Can someone explain that to me?
I’m well aware that I’m an Islamophobe. The term befits me perfectly. Anything you folks want to tell me that will make me less scared of Islam?
Thank you!
