Long story short (we can get into my ‘coming out’ story another time) my dad said: ‘You don’t know enough about Islam. You need to talk to knowledgeable people and learn more before you make such a big decision’ (little does he know how much I know… And how much he would hate to know…) So, I said: ‘Sure. Bring me anyone, I don’t mind.’
Today, he messaged me with a link to this website: https://sapienceinstitute.org/ Essentially it seems their goal is: Muslims are becoming less and less convinced of Islam (ironically, they see the problem). We need to make them believe again.
You can send questions to ‘learned individuals’ on the site, and there are articles written, too, ‘explaining’ certain contentions.
Long story short: what are some great questions, that I can ask these people, and then share with my dad. Yes, I know that my dad will (most probably) never ever change his mind and will stay stuck in his ways forever. I understand that. But, he asked me to speak to them. So, I will. What are the best faith-shattering questions to ask, do you think?
