Hi, this is my first time posting on this sub. I've been having strong doubts about Islam lately and needless to say it has affected my mental health and my studies in the worst way and I'm going insane over this. Not an exmuslim yet but I can't help but consider the possibility of becoming one since I'm absolutely not satisfied with the religion. The idea of having to thug it out and act like a muslim in front of my parents doesn't bother me very much right now. However, being in a relationship is the major concern for me. My family is very religious and I'm expected to bring home a hijabi girl . Any girl who's not covered they perceive as slutty and not worthy of marriage. But I can't be with someone who doesn't agree with my beliefs because they'll make my life miserable. So, my question is for married exmuslims ( or those in a serious relationship) who still live in muslim countries. Does your wife/girlfriend/husband/boyfriend share the same beliefs? If so,How did you meet them in a society where most people are muslim? How did you get your parents to approve of such marriage (if you're married)? What about kids? Do you plan on having any? How do you think you'll be able to raise them in such society? Is it better to focus on finding a way out and get married abroad? This also scares me because I can't justify this decision to my parents and it's gonna be hard to keep in touch. Even if you're not in a relationship at the moment I'd love to know your take on the issue. Please remain respectful to the religion, and thank you so much for your time. Sorry for the long postπ
Edit: I'm more concerned about the how did you meet your SO part.
