With all the hatred going on around the world for queer people, especially trans people nowadays, Its very hard to find supportive ally communities and I wanted to thank you all for being one. You’re all supportive and kind.🩷 I’m a trans woman from Iran who underwent severe religious trauma because of my identity. I got a lot of harassment and death threats from muslim men. Iran is one of the worst muslim countries that legally executes queer people. I’m now residing in Canada as a refugee and every time I see a muslim person I’m just terrified by them, they trigger my fears and cause me to have flashbacks of the traumatic events I had. Because I know if they were in majority and had enough power they would have killed me immediately. No one really gets my fear of muslim people and Islam except for you people here.🩷 Thanks again for being awesome allies.
