A few months ago, I was walking down a very popular street in my city. There is an LDS church just a few blocks from where I met them over by my work. We started talking, grabbed my number and immediately started texting me and inviting me to things. I was busy the first few times, then I ended up going to a baptism they invited me to. They took me into a room after and we talked. I had a really nice time getting to know them and talking more deeply about scripture (I’ve been a Christian for a long time)

I started meeting with them regularly, they even showed up to my work unexpectedly just to say hi. They said they couldn’t meet with me alone because I am a female and they are male, so I started meeting with 2 other missionary sisters and the boys also. We have probably met about 15-20 times since we have met. They have been pushing me to read the Book of Mormon, and I agreed once I was done finishing up the gospel I’m reading. Then they also talked about me considering getting baptized in their church. I told them this once before, and I told them again, that I am changing a lot of my beliefs at once (as it is VERY different from the church I grew up in) so it would be a long process before I make a decision to get baptized. Ever since that, it’s been almost radio silence.

I went to their church the past 2 weeks, and this past Sunday they texted me in the morning, and I seen them all at church on Sunday and talked a little with them. But they haven’t asked to meet again and I haven’t been receiving messages from them. They usually would text me every day, and when we would meet, it would be like and hour and a half sessions. This is what I think is going on, either their leaders are saying to spend less time and focus on me, or they don’t see me as a candidate for baptism so they aren’t gonna reach out anymore. Maybe both.

I really like them, and they say that we are friends, but I feel like at the end of the day, they don’t really care and I’m just a convert to them.
