Did anyone else struggle with this when they left? I left about a month ago, my spouse still considers himself “a member” but has been inactive for 20 years and definitely doesn’t live the lifestyle of a member.

Anyway, we had a civil marriage by a bishop (and it was weird and awkward) and then we were sealed a year later. I don’t know why it matters to me, but I want a “real” wedding now. Like a vow (? Renewal isn’t the right word because there were no vows). But I want the beautiful “non-modest” dress and the normal officiant and vows and everything. I want it to be a celebration and not just a weird event.
