Is there a linear story of the end of the world according to Mormonism?

Post Body

I've been out of the church for quite a while now, but I was watching all of these scary apocalypse movies around Halloween and realized that I have no idea what Mormons believe. AND it's REALLY hard to figure it out. They are whitewashing everything on the internet. For instance, I thought I'd refresh myself on the pre-existence and found some silly videos put out by the church on YouTube. I was waiting for the part about Lucifer/Satan/That guy wanting to make us all live perfectly so we were guaranteed to come back, but they didn't even mention him.

What I think I know is that there is a period of time that has already happened, some more stuff will happen. Then there's Jesus coming to like 3 places or peoples and then some more war or something and all the mormons run to Missouri. But maybe not all of them. I'm lost. Is there even a way for this to get laid out in a way that one could read it as a timeline? Oh, and I forgot about the 2 prophets and the Jerusalem and the New Jerusalem and then the prophets get killed. That was kind of cool.

Anyone help me out? I'm a little obsessed now with what they believe! I'm like you. If things don't line up, I feel compelled to investigate!
