A few recent posts on social media, as well as here, have me thinking about what the most flagrantly disrespectful/disgraceful aspect of TBM behavior might be. This is obviously subject to personal experience and interpretation. But whether it’s a specific gaslighting instance, a policy change with no explanation, or a cultural phenomenon that in no way correlates with any actual gospel teaching, I’m curious to hear your thoughts. My current rage inducing topic is the misuse of agency. How we’re taught it’s the greatest gift God could grant us, but TSCC spends so much time and energy ensuring that no one actually has it or exercises it. Illustrated by the post going around Facebook wherein TBM’s are declaring and defending their devotion to the gospel and Christ while at the same time completely ignoring the second half of the 11th article of faith.
What’s getting you all annoyed these days?
