We got our confirmation of our resignation late last week! We have been enjoying "Second Saturday" for the past 2 years, but this past Sunday felt a little different after getting our letter. Spent all day at the local outdoor pool with my kids and later grilling in the back yard. It occurred to me how much of my past Sundays were spent at early morning leadership meetings while my wife tried to get the kids out the door alone, sitting in boring church feeling guilty about anything and everything, then later wasting my time at home doing nothing because I "couldn't break the sabbath" and then spending the evening home teaching. I was not happy. I am so happy now!

Also the wife and I were considering splurging on a high end espresso machine for our kitchen and making a little coffee bar with espresso, drip, French press, and all the stuff. It would be an anniversary gift to us. I was a little worried about the cost. Then I realized that we have saved WAY more money over the past two years in not paying tithing than our fun coffee bar would cost. so this will be a celebration for our life together and a celebration for officially getting out!
