I left TSCC 2 years ago and recently moved back to my family's home to take care of my mother. They are still very Molly Mormon and Peter Priesthood, but have accepted the fact that I don't care for their faith. While I was making dinner my mom asked me if I still believed in God. I answered "Mom, even though I don't go to your church, pray your way, dress your way, sing your songs, or follow your faith's principles, I still talk to my HP everyday."
After leaving TSCC, I bounced around from faith to faith to see if I could find where I felt right. I went to Judaism, Islam, Wicca, Paganism, Sikh, Hindu, and various Christian services. During this time I fell into a deep and crippling battle with Alcoholism. My family blamed it on losing my connection with God, but how can I lose something I never had? Of course when my mother's "pray it away" attitude didn't work, she let me figure out how to deal with it the best. After 15 months of sobriety, soul searching I think I've found MY place with God. I found a place where I can ask questions and get them answered by knowledgeable people instead of being told to pray about it.
Thanks to my Molly Mormon mother, I no longer feel the compulsory need to feel guilty about questioning the existence of an all loving and benevolent God.
