Pick the closest church building to you meant for the public. In this group for many it’s a LDS meetinghouse. But for lots of it could be another church.
How many hours a day could you walk up to this building and find unlocked doors and someone to talk to inside if you needed spiritual guidance, help because one is depressed, guidance with a tough decision or such.
Take this a step further, how many churches near you have information about when they would be open for this kind of guidance without it being an organized activity? Not during a Sacrament meeting or a formal class time but just open and available.
How many even have a space that’s not behind a locked door to go pray. Could be a garden or a separate space.
If you want to talk about decline in a church this is a great place to start at.
