I left the church almost a year ago. One thing that the church does well on is the community. You go to church and everyone knows you and looks out for you. When you’re sick or need help you have people there to help you. They have parties and get togethers and such. I’m really really missing the community that church offered. Sometimes it’s so strong I even consider going back, even though I know it’s bad for me and really traumatizing. I’ve tried other churches for this purpose and I just feel so out of place because my beliefs have changed significantly. I moved to a new state last year and I’m just really feeling alone and unsupported and I’m just looking for some advice of the best ways to go about finding a the same type of community.
