Hey there. I’m having a hard time keeping my mouth shut when my mom and her sisters are around. I’m POMO for 10 years now and still very frustrated with some aspects of the religion.

How do you guys deal with this?

I’m camping with my pimi mom and Yesterday my pimi aunt came over. They were talking about the ‘truth’ all of the time, and how beautiful it is. Also my aunt was telling that an acquaintance told her that it’s an american cult, and she seemed confused (she is not the brightest). Also they were gossiping about people who were disfellowshipped, and the reasons why. My mom was like ‘hey Jane got disfellowshipped, i bet she slept with another man’ and i was like ‘or she smoked a cigarette. People get disfellowshipped for smoking a fucking cigarette. How is constantly eating unhealthy food okay and one cigarette not’. A discussion started and immediately i realized that i should have kept my mouth shut. I want to make sarcastic comments all the time because they are so fucking stupid. Can someone relate?
