Lost my best friend today

Things were pretty ok, he knew that I left about 8 months ago. We talk now and then, and I never tried to poke the bear about religion.
But he started saying why I should come back and challenging my reasons for leaving. So I defended with my beliefs, because the difference between us and them, is that we have real conviction, not just a borrowed faith. This is what he said and how I responded before he blocked me. Mind you, he never speaks like this. The cult speech came out. Sad to see.
