Update: meeting with elders was just a check in. According to the new updates they just check progress of dissfellowshiped ones every 6 months. Now they can pray for you too so they open with prayer.
You still need to write a letter, you still have to wait 6 months to a year or maybe more.
Elders don't even have the power their hands are tied in my case. It's on the branch to reinstate while the elders and congregation want me back.
Even though a complete 180, life change, good study habits and consistent meeting attendance for 5 months is not enough proof of repentance. Their definition is so off of what being repent is.
Got to the midweek meeting today and an elder told me we'll meet after the Sunday meeting.
I was DF in December, I woke up shortly after that. I'm going back for family only and my parents seem accepting of me with a slight hint at my want to fade.
Anything I should be careful of? I'm not sure what I'm walking into and new arrangement is well new. I don't want to set off alarms as the chairman from the JC is ruthless but the other elders are more relaxed.
