My hall has 70ish publishers and the A/V schedule doesn't seem to matter. Most people scheduled for mics are not in attendance and we swapped sound and video all the time.
Often I was the only one to arrive early setup zoom and prep A/V for each meeting. Everyone was afraid to run the computer and that was like my permanent seat.
After getting in some trouble and eventually DF it was entertaining to watch the A/V operators crash and burn lol.
I walked into the hall today and saw a MS husband at the computer with his wife controlling the faders on the mixer.
I'm glad they're doing it now but really it's only due to a shortage. If there's enough men the woman are not used and often husband's don't sit with their wives. 2 attendants 2 people on sound and video and 2 mic handlers.
If the women were used for duties or even parts there would be much more balance and unity.
