I just talked to my PIMI Mom earlier today. She told me how one of the elders came to see her. He wanted to know why she wasn’t coming back to in person meetings yet. Every last one of them is well aware of why she hasn’t been there in person. Because of her age, she is 88. And because of some serious lapses in her cognitive abilities. She voluntarily gave up driving and sold her car. There was a couple instance while she was out driving it scared the crap out of me and my sister. So we are in full agreement with her that she did this.

She has been doing the meetings on zoom. For a few weeks after they went back to in person meetings. Someone was coming to get her, taking her there and bringing her back home. But for whatever reason, that has stopped. So she went back to doing the online version. Now here we are almost a year later. And these morons that call themselves elders are basically interrogating her about why she isn’t there in person. Has anyone offered to come and get her? No! They know she doesn’t drive anymore and they know she does not have a car.

So when she told me about this. I called my DF sister who lives near her. I live on the other end the US. I told her what Mom had told me and asked if she was aware of it. Turns out she didn’t know anything about it. Yes, she has offered to transport my mom to and from the KH but mom being mom, she declined.

So these morons that are supposed to be leaders in her congregation know what the situation is. But no one seems to be doing anything to assist her. And they have the audacity to go talk to her about it like she is deliberately blowing them off.

My sister is the more diplomatic one when she has to deal with them face-to-face. I’m the more confrontational one. Diplomacy and tact are in short supply dealing with them. So it’s probably a good thing I’m not there. Thank you for letting me vent.
