We slowly faded away until things blew up and our best friends started asking questions about 1-2 months ago. Everything is fresh. My best friends in the world have all removed me from social media and their lives.
But I’m lucky to have made other non JW friends. They threw me an incredible birthday party. It was surreal. How healing to be surrounded by unconditional love.
My friend from elementary school hosted it and based the menu off of my favorite restaurant. I got a massage, lotto tickets, and several other gifts. I blew out my candles and tried not to cry. It was uncomfortable, but in the best way.
Here’s to growth and taking back my power.
