Idk how many people have heard this phrase thrown around when they mention negative bible verses to their Christian relatives as reasons they don't believe? Every time my mother says something about the faith being so outstanding, I remind her of some terrible things God did in the bible. She says I'm just focusing on the negative and that God never ordered or said anything, I respond with an exact bible verse, she usually shuts up.
