“Focus of the good of the church” is not a good message.

A friend shared this post to her Insta story today, and it frustrated me. It’s giving me “well not all cops are bad!” vibes.

The church, as a whole, is hateful and mean. The people in power are corrupt. Sure, the church has provided good to society via donations and etc., but the fact that Christianity/the Church gets taken advantage of by it’s leaders and it’s followers get hurt SHOULD be the loudest.

Altruistic people will still be altruistic without the church. Tons of people who don’t belong to the church are kind, have integrity, perform acts of kindness, etc. That could breathe life into you as well, whatever that means.

Sorry for the rant. I’m tired of Christians trying to feel better about themselves.
